Because of this focus alternative color testing such as Farnsworth lantern testing is available at our office for pilots who require a more extensive color vision evaluation!

Please note we do not participate in the Basicmed program. Dr. Florkowski is designated as a Senior AME and may issue 2nd and 3rd class FAA medical certificates for pilots and non FAA controllers of any age, as well as 1st Class certificates to pilots under age 35.

Any applicant with a previous special issuance should bring their special issuance paperwork with them to the examination.
The cost of the examination is $175. The fee for Farnsworth lantern testing only is $50. Cash, check, and credit card are accepted. Please note that insurance does not cover an FAA medical examination.
